CARLOS

A father of two beautiful boys. A fortunate husband who found the best and "big-hearted" partner for this long trip. A son and a brother to the best possible parents and brother. A dreamer who dreams of sailing with his wife and children some day. A sailor who developed a passion for oceans and sailboats sailing the Spanish waters of the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean. A former computer science engineer that ended it up managing large scale projects in the transit and tolling technology industries. A fan of my partner David who admires and learns from his wealth of knowledge, experience, patience, attention to detail and hard work. Since David joined this project he became an integral part of it, not only for all the things he is doing on the boat but most importantly for letting me share my passion with him! A friend to many people. A Spaniard resident in the USA. An untalented handyman who enjoys DIY projects. A stubborn man who just won't give up. This boat will float sooner or later, so honey and kiddos, get ready, we are sailing.

DAVID

Former engineer, international sales manager, aviation geek, photographer and general handyman, I will be the first to admit that I have almost no nautical experience other than as a passenger. That’s not to say that I don’t have an ocean going connection. For several years I worked for the Decca Navigator Company installing and maintaining their global chain of high-powered, low frequency radio transmitter systems. Later, I moved into avionics system sales followed by telecoms and fiber optics. Born in the UK and now resident in the USA I’m retired and able to pursue my whims and hobbies. This project has allowed me to collaborate with my good friend Carlos on a fun task with multiple challenges. Let’s just hope I can figure it all out…
